ST Thomas of Canterbury annual Christmas Bazaar is back on Saturday, 24 November 2018, from 11.30 to 3pm in the Church Halls on John Street. Lots will be on offer for all family members to enjoy. Stalls will include arts and crafts, games, books, toys, bottle stall, Christmas goods and knit wear.
There is also a chance to win £500 in the Grand Draw!
Come and sample some assorted hot food including Jollof rice, puff puffs (fritters) and other African foods. Cakes and other refreshments will be available too.
For the little ones, an early meeting with Father Christmas awaits.
Parish Priest, Father Brian O’Shea said: “We are delighted to continue with the spirit of bringing the community together by holding our Christmas Bazaar which has been going on for over 100 years. In 1913, Lady Petrie graced the event.
“It is an opportunity not only for those who congregate at our Parish but the entire community to forget the winter blues and come together and have some fun. All are warmly welcome.
“We are making steady progress with our Church restoration and proceeds from this year’s Bazaar will go a long way. But most importantly, we look forward to some community fun on the day.”
St Thomas of Canterbury Church has been holding Christmas Bazaars since before the start of World War 1 as a fund-raising venture and to bring the community together for some winter fun.
