THERE is always a strong sense of community in Purfleet. Some say it is a little like a part of the borough that feels a little bit neglected. Plans to build a new town centre will surely correct that. However, residents have built up a nice sense of community at the community cafe in River Court.

THE MAY meeting of Linford Women’s Institute Took place on Thursday 2nd May in St Francis Centre Somerset Road. Pam opened the meeting by welcoming two visitors for the evening. This was our Annual Meeting and Discusion of Resolutions on our New Constitution and Decline of our high streets and town centres to be debated at the National Annual General Meeting in Cardiff in June.

BELHUS Cricket Club's young stars clinched the South Essex District U16 west division title at Grays School with a narrow two-run victory over Stanford le Hope at Grays School on Friday evening.
