SAM Jeyes of Horndon on the Hill cricket club achieved the rare feat of taking a hat-trick at the youth indoor sixes at Grays School on Friday evening. Facing Belhus A in the last week of competition before the Christmas break, Jeyes had George Maidment caught by Alfie Smith with the final ball of his first over, then completed his three-in-three by picking up the wickets of Jamie Foster and Joseph Clarke with the first two deliveries of his second over, both caught by Luke Smith to close the Belhus innings for 44.

Youngster Levi Lee 12 yrs under 48kg travelled out to Isle on of Man on November 19th to represent Essex in a boxing tournament of Essex V Isle of Man Lee came against the Isle of Man favourite M Rennie of Manx A.B.C. Lee beat the top class Isle of Man boxer making himself unbeaten now in eleven bouts.
The game started with both teams hitting each other on the counter attack with the Tee's free flowing passing coming from Dan O'Shaughnessy, Ben Knowles, Sandeep Gahir and Andre Rudder feeding the front three of Matt Gaut, Christian Jenkins & Mike Murray.
