Thurrock welcomed league leaders Colchester to Oakfield on yet another cloud free day and the rugby produced was of the top order from both sides. Although Thurrock from the start the team that looked the most likely, this was without doubt the most complete performance for many years. It was a truly outstanding effort from all the players involved and sent a large amount of heartfelt pride to the management team to see the team hit its peak for the first time.

In the U12 indoor youth six a side competition staged in Thurrock by the South Essex District Cricket Board, the Orsett "A" team made it two wins out of two, thanks to a magnificent innings of 39 not out by Dylan Rose. Their opponents, Belhus "B", had batted first and scored 81 for the loss of two wickets, for whom Zak Wilson hit 25 not out.
