Thurrock Mens 1st team lined up against Crostyx II without their captain Steve Abbott recovering from a vital early season operation, however this did not stop the team romping to victory over challenging opposition.They started with purpose bagging three goals in the first 10 minutes. Thurrock "B" had a close one-wicket victory over their club colleagues in the "A" team with Josh Clarke instrumental in the win by picking up two wickets at a cost of just 15 runs. For the Thurrock "A" team, Jake Chegwidden had a fine all-round match, scoring 15 runs and taking 2-21, while Shahmeer Quereshi gave valuable support with the ball by matching Clarke's bowling figures. Meanwhile, Orsett "A" defeated their "B" team by four wickets, largely due to some impressive batting by Alfie Buttle, 25 not out and Jordan Cunningham, 21 not out.

Luke Eggleston, captain of Essex PGA, and his 13-handicap amateur partner Jon Gower scored a triumph for Orsett in the Design Portfolio Marketing Services PGA East Region Autumn Classic.
They were two points off the pace after the first day of Stableford foursomes at Aldeburgh but they picked up 41 points in the better ball at Thorpeness the following day to give them 72 overall. Gower also won the prize for nearest the pin at Thorpeness.
