Jack Martin-Hussey took three wickets for no runs in three overs in this South Essex U15 west division league fixture at North Stifford. With Ryan Wells, Mason Ruck and Sam Hall picking up one wicket each, Orsett were restricted to 48-7 under heavy clouds. With the weather closing in, Belhus made light work of their reply through Wells, 32 not out and Jake Wolfe, 17 not out.
Belhus have moved into third spot in the Shepherd Neame League division three table and are just six points behind the second place promotion spot, following the destruction of Benfleet at North Stifford on Saturday. The visitors were in all sorts of trouble when they lost their fourth wicket with only nine runs on the board, but then Andrew Scott (37 runs) joined opening batsman Gavin Blowes (46 runs) as these two put on 73 for the fifth wicket.

The League match at Perry Barr Stadium, Birmingham was an important one for the Hammers as they needed the win to keep their Play Off aspirations intact. It turned out to be a match that saw the Hammers dominate throughout the 15 heats. Still utilising the ‘Rider Replacement’ facility for their injured Australian, Adam Shields, the remaining six members of the Hammers team all put in good performances. Pole Piotr Swiderski top scored for the Essex based Club with paid 15 points from his six rides outscoring his fellow Pole, Krzysztof Kasprzak, who top scored for the Birmingham Brummies with 11 points from his 5 rides.
