Hard won away point for the Fleet. Honesty strikes again. A very bad day at the office for the Dockers. Two points dropped for Grays against a hard working Witham.
It was Witham who struck first with Lewis Godbold scoring in the 12th minute. But it only took Grays eight minutes to strike back with Joe Sweeney levelling the scores in the 20th minute. Full report to follow.
ROCKS have now drawn ten of 23 matches this season and more tellingly eight out of 14 Ryman Premier games, though this was the first goalless encounter of the campaign.

Tilbury won at Cricklefields for the second time in three weeks with a final minute goal from substitute Tom Webb. With the game passing a 10.30am inspection, the teams were met by a sticky surface which made for a scrappy opening. Pooley and Barnett returned to the side in place of King and Francis. Tilbury were the better side from the start and Joel Barnett hit just wide.
YOU’VE heard of a game of two halves – this was a game of three thirds. For the bulk of two of them Lewes were in the driving seat and could – and should – have been well beyond the reach of East Thurrock.
IF THERE was ever a day when the phrase 'It is only a game" was at its most resonant, then it was the day that Thurrock boss received news that Mitchell Cole, a player he had signed when he was manager of Grays Athletic in 2004 and then signed again, when he was Stevenage boss, had passed away at the age of 27.
After a lacklustre first half with the sides looking like going into the break level, Petrit Elbi struck a rasping 20 yard drive into the top corner to give the home side the lead. There was no drastic improvement in the second half, with the home side looking comfortable throughout, but not being able to kill the game off.
The Dripping Pan sees the Rocks go away with a hard earned point. Disappointing but understandable against a very promising Rangers.
Great wins in the Ryman North for Grays, Aveley and free scoring Aveley.

In difficult conditions, the only goal came on the hour as Ben Walster collected the ball in his own half, ran 30 yards, slid the ball through to Harry Honesty. His shot was saved but the ball ran out to centre back Rhys Paul who fired home from close range. Thurrock held on for a valuable three points thanks to a excellent save at point blank range from David Hughes in the closing minutes.
Rocks should have scored in the 11th minute but the goalmouth scramble ended with the ball going everywhere but the back of the net. Eventually Kris Newby's shot hit the post and went out for a goal kick. Kris Newby looked very sharp. In the 14th minute, he sent over a cross that Hakam Araba got a head onto but went wide.
