You get the impression that Covo has the route map for the season all laid out. The Rocks had a very impressive second half to the season. The team were never cowed by teams in the top half of the division or those teams in the Conference South.
Thurrock have not won an opening league game fixture since 2002, but manager Mark Stimson stated that it's a long haul to the end of the season in April next year, so whilst he would love to end that record it's important to remember that there are 41 other league games.
Can Jack West score over twenty? The strong bustling striker certainly has presence and has impressed in pre-season but lets hope he stays the course. James Bunn was a great addition to the team with his guile and wit. Perhaps this will be an ensemble that will blend together to bang the ball in when the time is right.
