ON Saturday 22nd April 2017 pupils from Thameside Primary School took part in the Thurrock High Five Netball Rally which was held at Hassenbrook Academy.
BEST performance at the London Marathon didn't come from the 26.2 milers but from under 15 Hayley Instance. Representing the Eastern Counties in the 5k race she recorded 17m 44s, an outstanding time for an athlete of this age. This is the crowning moment of a long and very successful winter.
THURROCK placed one foot in the Ryman Premier League after a hard fought, but utterly deserved Semi-Final win over AFC Hornchurch at Ship Lane on Wednesday evening. Remi Sutton's twelfth minute goal was all that separated the sides but the Fleet showed resilience, flair and at times grit as they edged pass an AFC Hornchurch side that had ended Thurrock's play-off dreams almost a year ago.
MARK Stimson is full of praise for the way his team has campaigned in the Ryman North this season but says that form goes out the window once it comes to the play-offs. His Thurrock charges go into the Ryman North promotion shootout on the back of a four game winning run.
