POLICE have issued a CCTV photo of a man they want to question about an armed robbery at bookmakers on Monday, February 4. Details were previously released regarding the two men who entered the Ladbrooks betting shop, one armed with a knife, and threatened the employee.
The charge relates to activity before the FA Cup 3rd round fixture between Dagenham and Redbridge and Millwall FC on January 7. Police busted the alleged conspiracy after receiving a tip-off that West Ham fans planned to ambush their rival Millwall supporters at the Eastbrooke pub, close to Dagenham and Redbridge grounds.
POLICE in Grays have charged a man with driving without due care and attention and he will appear at Magistrates Court next month. The collision involved two cars, a motorcycle, and a London taxi on Southend Road (near to the Tesco Express) shortly after 9pm on Sunday, September 9. The motorcyclist was taken by ambulance to Queens Hospital after sustaining a head injury.
POLICE have released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in connection with a number of thefts in Grays. Between Saturday December 22, 2012 and Saturday January 5, 2012, at PC World, Lakeside Retail Park, two men entered the store on three separate occasions, selected items from display and left without making any attempt to pay.
A HIGH profile Metropolitan Police officer, who was involved in policing the London riots of 2011 and the phone hacking inquiry, has been selected as the new Essex Police chief constable. Police and Crime Commissioner Nick Alston has named one of the the Met's deputy assistant commissioners Stephen Kavanagh as his candidate for the job.
POLICE have appealed for witnesses after a brick was thrown through the window of a school bus at Grays. The incident happened at Buxton Road at about 8am on Wednesday February 6. A nearside window next to the bus door was smashed by the brick.
POLICE in the Thurrock area have seized four motorcycles in a crackdown on bikers riding them illegally in parks. The motorcycles have been seized in Chadwell St Mary and East Tilbury by neighbourhood policing officers. Inspector Tom Mitchell said: "We have seized four small off-road motorcycles and one small quad bike in these two areas in a week. The first seizure of two bikes was made in Heath Road, at Chadwell St Mary on Saturday 26 January and the second, of two motorcycles and a quad bike, was at Welland, in East Tilbury on Sunday 3 February. They were all seized after being ridden around open park areas.
POLICE are appealing for information following an armed robbery at a store in Tilbury. Just before 10pm on Tuesday, February 5, two men entered the Welcome shop in Portsea Road, as staff were in the process of closing.
A MAN is today, (Tuesday 5 February), in custody after drugs with a street value of around £13 million were found in a warehouse. On Monday 4 February, officers from the Met's Central Task Force East stopped an articulated lorry on the A12 at Maldon, Essex, as it headed towards London.

Two men entered the Ladbrokes betting shop, one armed with a knife, and threatened the employee. One male jumped over the counter and stolen money from the till and they both then made off from the store on foot along Calcutta Road in the direction of Ottawa Road.
TWO MEN were arrested after the discovery of a an alleged cannabis factory in Grays. A number of police cars were called to the Brookmans Avenue area, just off Blackshots Lane.

At approximately 7.40pm on Sunday January 6, 2013, at TGI Fridays, Lakeside, two men and two women ordered food and left without making any attempt to pay.
POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a suspected assault which occured between 4pm and 4.30pm on Wednesday 16 January in an alleyway off East Street in Grays. A 20-year-old man suffered a seven inch cut to his face during the incident which requiried hospital treatment.
