THE SCOUTS in Thurrock have been an ever present feature in YourThurrock over the past two years. It doesn't seem that a week goes by without the scouts are out and about doing something exciting.
Thurrock-based business MB-HS Group has recently completed a Knowledge Thurrock Innovation Associates (KTIA) project to help increase sales and promote carbon reduction. The project involved Innovation Associate Jess Brown identifying and researching a new range of products for MB-HS Ltd to retail online which fit criteria specified by Managing Director Andrew McCormack.
In Essex this year there are 4,233 fewer victims of ASB than last year - a 10 per cent fall in reported incidents compared to the year before. JUST moments after Thurrock Council's Planning Committee gave an unauthorised lorry park in West Thurrock twenty eight days notice to cease functioning, the council then allowed a Thurrock Council employee to overturn an enforcement notice in relation to her loft conversion in Stifford Clays.
The original proposal was for one year but in a dramatic about-turn, Leader of Planning, Cllr Terry Hipsey urged fellow members of the committee to give the Industrial Chemicals Group (ICG) only 28 days to cease using the area in Oliver Road, West Thurrock.

THURROCK RUGBY Club paid tribute to club stalwart Jimmy Jones at their Vice-Presidents Lunch recently. Club President Brian Howells made an emotional tribute to the life of Jimmy who passed away recently.
