Thurrock Yacht Club fly the flags for Windrush

THURROCK Yacht Club have raised a commemorative hoist of flags at their club base in Grays to commemorate the disembarkation of the Empire Windrush passengers on 22nd of June 1948. The colourful hoist comprises the modern national flags of countries of many of the immigrants, as well as a banner provided by the Thurrock 100 festival.
