THIS WAS the first time that Grays student, Jasmine had been up on stage. Some of the Your Voice performers have been on the stage a lot, whilst others are making their debuts. Jasmine recorded her version of Be Somebody by Kings of Leon.
WHERE DID she get that extraordinary voice from? Her voice sounds like it should be belting out from a Baptist chapel in Memphis rather than from a year 8 student from Gable Hall. Louisa is one of those singers whom you want to see singing so many other songs such as, "Son of a Preacher Man" for example. But for now, here is her singing John Cale's Hallelujah.
WE WOULD like to think that if Your Voice is running in 2015 and beyond, we will look back on the songs that different artists were singing and see them as zeitgeist moments. We are sure that singing Jessie J will be one of them. JJC put in a very spirited and uplifting performance of Price Tag.
GRAYS Convent student Francesca Fry brought a rockier edge to the Your Voice night on Monday with her version of the Evanescence number: "Wake me up inside". Francesca came to the stage already having experience of a number of competitions around the borough and it showed with her voice having a strong rich texture that tackled the song really well.
IT WAS good to see more boys at the third instalment of Your Voice. The whole concept is in its early stage and during the summer, the key partners will sit down and discuss how they can improve upon the showcase. Grays School student Thomas Champion performed his version of Mumford and Sons, Little Lion Man. Highly apt as just around the corner from the theatre is Mumford and Sons fish restaurant!
THE THIRD Your Voice showcase was held at the Thameside Theatre last night (Monday). Your Voice is not a talent contest but rather a talent platform where young people can learn a little about stage craft and vocal projection in front of a live audience. First off was Rebecca Corben from St Clere's. Rebecca has appeared on stage a lot as she is part of the very busy St Clere's singers and so she is a lot more relaxed as she sings Adele's "Someone Like You.
A superbly talented cast brings to life the hits of the Four Tops, the Supremes, the Temptations, the Jacksons, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder and many, many more at the Thameside Theatre on Thursday, 19 May at 7.45pm. Million-selling hit song follows million-selling hit song in one spectacular stage show celebrating the world’s most popular record label - Tamla Motown.

In 1954 Baltimore, Wade "Cry-Baby" Walker is the leader of a gang of "Drapes", which includes his teenage mom sister Pepper, facially disfigured Mona "Hatchet Face" Malnorowski, wild and free-spirited Wanda Woodward, and Milton Hackett, the nervous son of overzealous religious parents. His ability to shed a single tear drives all the girls wild.
Following last month’s announcement that the cast of The Only Way Is Essex and Jamie 'Afro' Archer from X Factor would be at Grays Beach Park for the weekend of 23 and 24 July two more names have been added. T Fest 11 promises to be an incredible weekend of family fun, Gamu ― the X factor favourite ― and girl group The Bon Bonz have also signed up.

IT has been a while since we have seen G.Dot but the wait has been worth it. G.Dot has a very distinctive tone and with the trip-hop feel to this number, this song is another welcome to the series of videos directed by Smivadee.
IT HAS been the ad that has taken the cyber world by storm with just under 20 million views in youtube alone. The ad was choreographed by former William Edwards student David Kent now known as David Leighton.
