Have you seen a 6ft 8 inch bogus police officer?

THE first man is described as white, 6ft 8ins tall, with short black hair, was unshaven, wearing black trousers, a black shirt and black coat. He spoke with a northern accent and was aged in his 20s. The second was also white, stocky, 5ft 6ins tall, with short ginger hair, wearing black trousers, a navy jacket and was about 24-years-old.

Man arrested, pedestrian seriously injured after collision in Rectory Road, Grays

RECTORY Road in Grays closed in both directions between the A126 Dock Road junction and the Crescent Avenue junction, because of an accident. Police would like to hear from any motorists or pedestrians who were in the area at the time and who witnessed the incident or events leading up to it. One Church Two Locations..Chafford now Chadwell

THIS Sunday sees the launch of a second location for Community Church who presently meet at Harris Academy Chafford Hundred. Community Church Chadwell will meet at Chadwell Evangelical Church, Defoe Parade which was previously under the leadership of Laurie and Daphne Pumfleet.

Tilbury Riverside Project looking for treasurer

THE Tilbury Riverside Project's volunteer treasurer is retiring in April after many years. We are now looking for a new treasurer who would be able to volunteer for approx six hours a month which would include attending a management meeting every second Tuesday of the month.

Police in search of “hot” furnace

POLICE want to hear from anyone with information about the theft of a furnace from a warehouse in Alfred Street in Grays. Thieves got into the Grays Auction Rooms sometime between 4pm on Friday February 7 and 10.30am the next day, by forcing the padlock on the shutters and then the front door.

Don’t say neigh to horse passports…

HORSE owners across Thurrock are being warned the council’s trading standards department is carrying out a borough-wide check of horse passports. By law, all horses, ponies and donkeys must have a horse passport to help make sure horses treated with certain medicines don’t end up as food for people, and to prevent the sale of a stolen horse, pony or donkey, as the passport proves its identity.
