The build will complete phase three of the Production Park’s transformation from a derelict and decaying farmstead to a modern training, production and community facility in the heart of the Thames Gateway. With the Academy under construction, High House Production Park Ltd will now focus its attention on bringing forward the remaining development plots available on the site. These plots are anticipated to provide around 100,000sq ft of accommodation for businesses and artists from related fields.
A HOST of Thurrock organisations gathered together at the Civic Hall last night at the annual Thurrock Business Awards. The awards, jointly sponsored by the Port of Tilbury and Newsquest, had a range of categories from new company of the year to best company in the community.
Jackie said, “We really do need to take action to Save the British Pub. The Pub is at the heart of community life in Britain and we simply cannot afford to keep losing them at a rate of 40 a week. The smoking ban and cheap booze in supermarkets have made life a lot more difficult for traditional pubs. I want to do what I can to reverse this decline and support those pubs that still survive.”
ON the day that the Planning Inspectorate review all planning proposals on Thurrocks green belt over the next decade, a report by an international organisation of industrialised states has identified England's green belts as a 'major obstacle' to development that should be replaced.
The court heard that Gary Drinkald, 43, was working for Micor Ltd during the overnight demolition work of the A1306 Stifford Rail Bridge, West Thurrock. A 31-tonne concrete beam had been removed from the bridge and placed on the back of a low loader lorry. The chains securing the beam were removed from the crane before it was secured to the low loader. The beam then fell - crushing Mr Drinkald under it.
