Tilbury man charged with robbery

AN Essex Police spokesperson said: 'We were called shortly after midnight on May 4 with reports of a robbery on Civic Square. The victim, a man in his 20s, was approached by a man who threatened him with a hammer and demanded that he withdraw money from a nearby cash machine.
