Update: Missing South Ockendon teenager Reece Loft found

Reece Loft,16, who was missing from his home in South Ockendon has been found safe in Northamptonshire. He is being brought home after being discovered in Wellingborough last night, Saturday May 10.

Father Brian celebrates forty years as a priest

FATHER Brian O’Shea, parish priest of St. Thomas of Canterbury and St. Peter’s RC Church, Grays, recently celebrated the 40th anniversary of his ordination to the priesthood. Over six hundred people, including family, attended his special Anniversary Mass which was con-celebrated with The Right Reverend Thomas McMahon. Apostolic Administrator of Brentwood Diocese, Monsignor George Stokes, Fr. Guy Sawyer, and Fr. Anthony McKentey. Reverend Darren Barlow of St. Peter’s and St. Paul’s parish, Grays was also present on the sanctuary.

Ockendon’s Tesco Express in sales to underage girl distress

THURROCK Council’s licensing sub-committee has imposed nine conditions on the alcohol licence of Tesco Express, Derry Avenue, South Ockendon. Members heard that council officers working with an underage girl were checking nine licensed premises in the area in October last year.
