THURROCK MP, Jackie Doyle-Price is set to open the biggest careers fair that Thurrock has ever seen.
Opportunity Thurrock is the first borough wide careers and further education event. It is at the Civic Hall in Blackshots on Wednesday October 3rd with the fair divided into visits by students during the day and for parents and colleges in the afternoon/evening.
The Lakeside fashion shows will host the hottest new looks for men, women and children from a wide range of Lakeside shops (5th to 7th October), as well as the high octane dancers that are a popular feature on the catwalk. The port and SSE renewables will be holding a public exhibition about the plans at the London Cruise Terminal, in Ferry Road, Tilbury, on Thursday, September 20, from 4pm to 8pm.

HERMES has expanded its depot network in the South East of England with the opening of two sites in West Thurrock and Maidstone to handle expected increases in parcel volumes during the peak Christmas period and beyond.
Money was raised through various activities; a rugby game in the baking heat, auction and raffle, waxing, have a go at pole dancing, hog roast and BBQ, Karaoke, and many other silly ideas that raised a few quid to the cause. The original target of £1,000 was set when the idea was purely a game of rugby but it just goes to show the generosity and club spirit as the event took off into a major fund raiser.

THE JOBS Fair at DP World (London Gateway) could not have come at a more appropriate time with the collapse of Petroplus at Coryton. Hundreds of job seekers descended upon DP World on the Manorway in Corringham to view what was on offer at the deep water port, which is set to open next year.

She has been nominated for an award at The Mumpreneur Awards 2012, a national award scheme for mums who run their own enterprise.
Two of the three units at Npower's Tilbury power station damaged by a fire in February remain offline. The least damaged of the three 250MW units returned to service in June.
