Female cyclist with life threatening injuries following Chadwell collision

POLICE have appealed for witnesses following a road crash at Chadwell St Mary in which a cyclist was seriously injured. Officers were called to Brentwood Road, shortly before noon on Tuesday July 1 following reports of a collision involving a cycle and a car.

Gumball rally comes to Orsett Hall

THE good-hearted spirit immortalised by 1976 film The Gumball Rally which struck a chord with road rally enthusiasts has been unleashed again at the AGS Gumball Rally 2014, which started at Orsett Hall on Friday (27 June). The three day charity event sponsored by Leeds-based AGS Risk Solutions raised just short of £40,000 in 2013 and is aiming to double that figure this year. Since its launch the rally has become a highlight in the fundraising calendar for the insurance industry and an opportunity for businesses countrywide to enjoy a good challenge.

Women trapped in car on A13

FIRE Crews released a woman trapped following a two car RTC on the Stifford Interchange in the early hours of sunday morning (June 29th). The collision had left the care the woman was in on its roof.

Two trapped following collision in West Horndon

Firefighters released two people trapped following a two vehicle RTC. One person was trapped in each car. Using specialist cutting equipment crews had released the first casualty by 11:36hrs and the second by 12:01. Both were left in the care of the Ambulance Service.

Ambulance service shortlisted for awards

A PROJECT to help 999 patients receive quicker care for minor wounds has reached a crucial stage in a national awards scheme. The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust (EEAST) has been shortlisted for its wound closure training in the 2013 Health Service Journal (HSJ) Value in Healthcare Awards innovation category.

Diversion in operation - long distance traffic heading towards the M25 is advised to use the A13, to avoid getting stuck in the tailbacks. Tailbacks for three miles. Congestion to Billericay.

Pedestrian struck down by car on Stifford Road in South Ockendon

B1335 Essex - B1335 Stifford Road in South Ockendon closed in both directions between the Daiglen Drive junction and the Foyle Drive junction, because of a serious accident involving a car and a pedestrian.

Danny Dyer is coming to Lakeside

FIRE CREWS tackled a field fire involving driftwood and an area of grass covering 200 metres by 10 metres near Tilbury Power Station.

Fire crews cut driver from car on A13

FIRE CREWS cut the roof from a car to release a casualty medically trapped following an RTC. The incident happened on the slip road from the A13 to M25 at 6.30pm on Tuesday evening.
