Brentwood looked strong and it did seem just a matter of time before they equalised. Brentwood forced a corner in the 30th minute. The ball went into the heart of the area but Blewitt rose high to force the ball into the back of the net.

Thurrock 1 v 1 Havant and Waterlooville

Thurrock were awarded a free kick mid way in the Havant Half, Reece Harris took the kick, his cross failed to penetrate the area, Havant defence partially cleared only for the ball to be sent back and wide on the right, Kenny Clark collected the ball and his cross shot eluded the keeper at his near post and dropped over the line for a well earned equaliser at the far post.

Council housing set to start

Cllr Andy Smith, the council’s cabinet member with responsibility for housing, said: “I’m delighted to be delivering the first council housing development in the borough in over a decade, providing much needed social housing accommodation. “The development will enhance the local area and be the start of a much needed council housing programme across the borough.”

Volunteers at Coalhouse Fort Needed

Year 7 William Edwards make their mark at Thurrock rugby

After half time William Edwards and Clack both exchanged blows with eachother with high standard physical rugby played by both teams. The game could have gone either way but Northfields conversions sealed the result for William Edwards winning 35-29.

Eisteddfod at the Gateway

The onstage events include students competing in college groups in all areas of the performing arts including Drama, Music, Dance and literature. For example Blue College will enter for the solo competition, dance and drama and so on. This onstage competition will see the chairing ceremony of the poetry competition, another strong tradition of the Eisteddfod festival.

But if it is a political tactic then they may have handed so much ammunition to the politicians. Because we can envisage a situation, where the government may say. "Ok. Now next year, try the raids with half the officers and half the budget and see if you can arrest, now let's not be too ambitious..eight. No, lets go wild...ten".
