THIS IS A busy week around the borough for inspections. A number of organisations from across the sector have public officials reporting on the way they operate. However, due to the recesssion and cuts in the public sector, a number of watchdogs have made announcements that they will not be conducting as many inspections. Sometimes down by as much as 70%!

Hassengate Medical Centre awarded key accreditation

NHS bosses outline £300m budget savings

The South East Essex and South West Essex primary care trusts, who commission healthcare in the south of the county, said it had identified about £154m in efficiency savings between them. That equates to about 14% of savings from its budgets over the four year period.

Breathe Easy celebrate second birthday
