Ruben Carril: Skydiving For The Limbless

It would have been easy for Ruben Carril to "turn his face to the wall" when he lost his leg in a motorcycle accident five years ago. For Ruben though it was the age old adage of "get busy living or get busy dying".

Forget Me Not Fundraiser

The Fund Raising Evening is taking place on Tuesday 1 June 2010 between 7.00pm and 11.00pm at Partyman World of Play, Repton Close, Burnt Mills, Basildon. There will be a live band, dancers, face painting, craft for children, fun photo shoots, games, cakes to buy, a prize raffle and much, much more. Tickets are £5.00 each for adults and children under 16 years go free! Please come along and support this worthwhile cause.

World No Tobacco Day

The teams will be taking the Vitality Mobile Unit into Grays this Thursday (27 May), outside Morrisons supermarket, between 10am and 4pm. The aim of the event will be to highlight the effects of smoking, particularly on women.

IS SET to go ahead next month. The event will start from the Civic Hall, Blackshots at 9am on Sunday June 13th. The courses range from 7, 21 and 42 miles around the Bulphan and Orsett countryside.
