Having rehearsed for over six weeks, these incredibly talented performers from Treetops excelled in their brilliant versions of Madonna’s ‘Like a Prayer’ and Britney Spears’ ‘Hit Me Baby One More Time’.
Inspired by David Martin, a remarkable young actor who has a disability but has seen it as an opportunity and never a problem, a number of people got together to put together a fantastic show. Just watch the film, be entertained and be inspired.
HUNDREDS of care workers and agencies across the borough gathered together at the Culver Centre for a one day conference that recognised the work that carers do.
"You meet lots of different types of people. We got there at 6.45am and were waiting until around 11.10 am before they opened the doors. My ID number was 872 out of about 7000, so thankfully we were not actually waiting as long as others!
Ga-Ga’ certainly entertained the crowd at the Thameside and they are definitely the best tribute act I have ever seen. The only bad point I have is that they were only in town for one night! Therefore, let’s hope ‘Ga-Ga’ return very soon and they don’t stop it now because we were having such a good time, we were having a ball!
ST CLERE'S were so good at the Thameside Theatre last week that we had to include a second song. This song, originally from the TV series Fame has been made popular again by the Glee series.
The Community Chorus will be open to both experienced singers and those with no previous experience and develop individuals’ skills and extend their abilities. Public performances across Thurrock and the wider region will showcase the talent and commitment of the new Community Chorus.
Jackie Doyle-Price said: “This competition offers a great opportunity to unsigned bands across Thurrock to get some national exposure. I look forward to being able to showcase Thurrock’s musical talent to my colleagues in the House, and for the successful band, who knows where it might lead”.

Hassenbrook’s group was formed by two previous contestants from ‘Thurrock’s Your Voice’ as well as a collection of other incredibly talented singers; therefore the outcome was going to be great!
TMS teacher, Shana Elliot-Hayers said: "This is our first show and we were bowled over by the students and sell out audience. "I am very grateful for the praise to all those involved. I had a very kind letter from cllr Amanda Arnold who came to the show".
Kayzar has already auditioned for Sky One’s ‘Got to Dance’ and they are also soon to feature on ITV’s ‘Britain’s Got Talent’! So I expected we will be hearing a lot more from these incredibly talented dancers very soon.
They have been going since 1989 and tomorrow (Saturday) they come to the Thameside Theatre to wow the fans with hits such as Bohemian Rhapsody, We Will Rock You and Radio Ga-Ga. The band also promise to delve deep into the bands back catalogue to play songs from the albums. With " A Night at the Opera" just re-issued on CD, this reporter hopes that songs such as The Prophets Song may get a hearing.
Next Tuesday at the Thameside Theatre audiences will see that in practice when a special awareness evening has been organised to demonstrate just how talented our community of disabled people are in Thurrock.
Popular saga writer Jean Fullerton will be visiting Corringham Library on Friday, 4 March at 7.30pm talking about how she brings the East End to vibrant life in her stories. Sarah Moss, author of Cold Earth and Night Waking will be at Blackshots Library on Friday, 25 March at 7.30pm talking about her latest chilling suspense story.
