A triumphant success for Thameside panto

Another year, another panto and certainly another triumphant success for the Thameside Theatre’s production of Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood. Without any hesitation, Robin Hood and his merry men are certainly the ones to watch this Christmas! For their brilliantly witty and enchanting panto will have you smiling from ear to ear thanks to their happy Christmas cheer.

Having played every event worth knowing about in Thurrock over the last two years, Razzar and Cash Mori Enterprises are now setting their sights on the venues in London to really take the music to the masses.

Kim comes to the rescue to star in Thameside panto!

LAST weekend, TV star Kim Taylforth was having lunch with her agent and looking forward to a family christmas. The agents phone rang and it was Thameside panto chief Bruce James who was looking for an eleventh hour replacement for Sarah Thomas who had to pull out of Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood in order to look after her ailing mother.

IT has been a chaotic week with the snow but there is one thing that is certain: the Thameside panto starts tonight! There will be 63 performances of Robin Hood and the Babes in the Wood between tonight and January 11th.

Feel the Love for Thurrock Youth Theatre!

Love was in the air for the members of Thurrock Youth Theatre this week as they performed a duo of excellent plays all about the trials and tribulations of finding that happy ever after with that perfect partner. ‘The Dating Game’ was the first performance of the night and truly showcased what a talented bunch these young actors are. Not only was this play performed by the Thurrock Youth Theatre, but it was also written by Alex Lawler, a member of the Thurrock Youth Theatre. No doubt, Alex’s creation was excellent and highlighted what an incredibly talented actor and scriptwriter he is.

Eastenders star’s sister is new fairy for panto!

The Thameside panto team are very pleased to announce that they have a new Forest Fairy - Kim Taylforth as Sarah's replacement. Kim is sister to ex-Eastender Gillian Taylforth and has had her own varied career playing Nancy Ray in ITV's London’s Burning; Marilyn Fenner in Bad Girls and Sharon Ingram in Five's soap opera Family Affairs.

Superb Eurobeat wows the audiences

This show really does have the ‘feel good factor’. From the moment you walk in the door we were treated to the Eurovision Experience. Cheesy as it is, it really cheered up a cold winter’s night.

Benny’s lighting up Hollywood panto!

FORMER Ormiston Park Academy teacher Benny Harris is lighting up Hollywood as he stars in Nigel Lythgoes' Cinderella at the El Portal theatre in North Hollywood from November 27-December 19, 2010. Benny from Purfleet has been over in Hollywood for a number of years now, nurturing a successful career. In Cinderella he plays Buttons alongside Broadway and stars from films such as Harry Potter.
