SOUTH OCKENDON teenager, Brogan Priscilla Price has her hopes set on competing in an international beauty pageant being held in Disneyland Paris!
Brogan (18) has been chosen by the Face Of The Globe organisation to compete at a regional heat being held at the famous Elstree Studios in August.
DAVID Bareham, Lead Elder for Community Church said, “We are regularly full at our Sunday morning service so the 4:00 pm service will allow the opportunity for some of our congregation to switch to the afternoon and create some space for others to attend the morning service. We also believe that this new service will attract people who may not be able to attend on a Sunday morning. This is an exciting new season for us as a church as we will now be meeting in three services over two sites!”
THIS is an informal event where people can pop in and chat one-to-one with a social worker who will be able to explain the process and answer questions. The second event is an open evening on Wednesday, 2 April starting at 7pm at Orsett Hall Hotel, Prince Charles Avenue, Orsett (RM16 3HS). The evening begins with a short presentation followed by a question and answer session with existing foster carers.?
WITH spring upon us, Thurrock Council’s Langdon Hills’ ranger team is gearing up for its regular environmental club meetings for young people. The Junior Nature Club is for young people aged eight to 11 and runs between 10am and noon - £3 a session – one Saturday a month until November.
IN a medical context, a normal consultation is a meeting between patient and doctor, in which a patient seeks advice regarding health matters. Consultations in which a patient makes their own diagnosis and determines the course of action, against medical protocol, is not a consultation, or at best a dysfunctional consultation. For a patient to behave in this manner, they have to assume that they know more about medicine than their doctor. Alternatively, they have to assume that their doctor is not trustworthy. If the latter is the case, one must beg the question of why such a patient would remain with the same GP.

ASYE helps newly qualified social workers develop their skills, knowledge and capability and strengthen their professional confidence by providing regular and focused support during their first year of employment. The Social Workers have had their practice with service users observed by senior staff and have received feedback on their performance as well as having to ensure their practice meets the needs of their role.

Wojciech Holub, AoS’ port chaplain in Tilbury provided encouragement to the only Ukrainian seafarer who was onboard a Russian ship with a full Russian crew. The ship arrived at the port on Ash Wednesday. “In times like these it is important to be ambassadors of reconciliation,” he said.
Officers acting on intelligence have been working with two Essex based internet businesses. The team tested the products on sale by the businesses and they were found to be unsafe for babies and young children. Officers are now working closely with the businesses to provide them with advice while helping them to recall the jewellery already sold.
