FEN LANE, Orsett has been blocked after well over three hundred lorry tyres were found dumped in the lane. The tyres lay strewn cross the lane around 400 metres from the Orsett entrance.

POLICE are investigating a report that a man approached two schoolboys in Corringham and made some inappropriate comments. The incident happened in Newton Close at just after 3.50pm on Tuesday August 20 and officers would like to speak to anyone who saw or heard anything in that area.
COMMENTS by Thurrock councillor Mark Coxshall which suggested a travellers' site would look like "My Big Fat Gypsy Cesspit" are being investigated by Essex Police. The Corringham and Fobbing councillor made the comments about a site in Stanford-le-Hope.
POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a collision between a cyclist and a Red Ford Fiesta in London Road, Aveley, yesterday (Tuesday August 13).
The female cyclist, who is in her early teens, was taken to the Royal London Hospital by air ambulance following the incident, which happened at around 3.30pm. Her injuries are serious but not thought to be life threatening.
A WOMAN has been airlifted to hospital following a road traffic collision in Purfleet. YT understands that the collision between a car and cyclist, occurred around 3.30pm. The A1306 Arterial Road in Purfleet is closed at the A1090 Tank Hill Road junction, because of the accident.
POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a robbery in Tilbury where a woman was punched. The 46-year-old victim was walking along Adelaide Road, towards the junction with Hobart Road, at about 11.40pm on Sunday August 11 when she was approached by four men.
Detective Constable Jon Howlett, the investigating officer, said: “The three victims boarded a train at Leigh-on-Sea station around 12.30pm, heading towards Chafford Hundred station, where they had planned to go to Lakeside Shopping Centre. “During the journey, three youths approached the victims and threatened to stab them if they didn’t hand over money.
A TEENAGER has been charged following an alleged assault on a steward at a football match.
The 16-year-old (who cannot be named for legal reasons) will appear at Basildon Youth Court on August 27th. The alleged incident is said to have taken place during the pre-season friendly between Aveley and AFC Hornchurch at Mill Field, Aveley on Monday (Aug 5th).
POLICE are appealing for witnesses following an assault which left the victim with serious facial injuries. The 52-year-old victim had been at Tilbury Dock Sports and Social Club, in Dock Road, to watch a live band play on the evening of Saturday July 20.
