Eve Clayton, Brooke Mensah, Harry Pacey, Joshua Michael-Ihunde and Joe Jackson, all in Year 9, submitted poems on a range of subjects including living in Grays, mobile phones and school, and were all successful in having their poetry selected for publication.
THE FOUNDER of the Harris Federation, Lord Harris of Peckham opened the new sixth form centre at the Harris Academy in Chafford Hundred on Friday afternoon. The centre is the culmination of the work of executive principal, Chris Tomlinson and principal Nicola Graham in realising a dream of producing a world class sixth form centre in the heart of their school.

The recent Border Agencies ban on the universities ability to sponsor students could mean up to 2000 overseas students could be left without a course. In a call to the Vice Chancellor’s office at London Met South Essex College offered to sponsor students and assist wherever possible.

YOU COULD tell last year, that Gable Hall were not happy with their exam results. Everyone put on a brave face but it was with gritted teeth. And so it was with a much happier visage that headteacher, Dr Asong could announce that the school gained a mark of 70% or more of 5 A* to C at GCSE's including English and Maths.

STAFF AND STUDENTS at Ormiston Park Academy were celebrating at Ormiston Park Academy after gaining 100% for students gaining 5 GCSE's at A* to C for the first time in the schools history.
