One of the highlights of the week (July 25th to July 31st) will be Lightnin' Drama Groups performance of"The Diary" which so impressed Thurrock audiences earlier this month.

The festival looked really well-organised with young solo acts appearing on the roof of the stage as roadies got the main stage ready for the next act. The Festival doesn't "sell-out" for top acts but does it's level best to keep it local.

Firefighters were called to a mid terraced property in Galsworthy Road, Tilbury which was 100 percent smoke logged. A 60 year old man suffered from smoke inhalation and fire crews administered first aid to him.
