t's been a quiet time on the news front, but manager Hakan Hayrettin has been in constant demand by players new and old eager to join the Thurrock squad.
As part of my training for this challenge I joined 6,499 other cycling enthusiasts for the London Bikeathon 2010 in aid of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. However, rather than opting for the 13 mile bikeathon as I did last year; I accepted the 52 mile cycle challenge around the great city of London . And what a super duper challenge it was!

WE HAVE to admit that we have a soft spot for historical re-enactment groups. It is the spirit of history. It is the dedication to preserving certain segments and corners of history.
You can see from the film that the performance is rubbish. Meaning that the ever inventive school have used trash cans as percussion instruments. They really are that inventive and that entertaining.
LAST night was the first night of the Thurrock Thameside Musical Society's production of Guys and Dolls. Unfortunately the theatre lay two thirds empty. With the show on for another four nights, the signs are not good.

But the team have done more than simply create a new seating area for the town’s book lovers; they raised money to do the work with a ten-mile sponsored walk and a car wash.
Once again the event was blessed with glorious sunshine and crowds flocked to the village to enjoy a host of entertainment and, in line with the ‘Food Glorious Food’ theme, food markets on both days. A record entry of runners took part in the Horndon 10k run on Sunday.
