Meanwhile, the national Top-up Safe campaign continues to warn people not to get involved with anyone offering illegal energy top-ups.

Colleges looking at ways of working together

SEEVIC and South Essex Colleges of Further Education are working together to explore ways of collaborating that will protect and enhance Further Education (FE) and the learning experience of students across South Essex. A spokesperson for South Essex College said: "Both colleges are keen to avoid unnecessary duplication and competition. Independent consultants have been engaged to assist and all options will be considered".

Port of Tilbury targeted for takeover

As well as Tilbury, Forth owns docks in Scotland (Leith, Grangemouth, Fife and Dundee) and is Britain's only stock market listed ports company reports the BBC. Arcus, a private infrastructure investment fund which already owns a fifth of the company, has tabled a conditional offer.
