Alan Ayckbourn's 'How The Other Half Loves' is a modern classic comedy. First produced in the early 1970's it tells the story of three couples, Frank and Fiona, Bob and Teresa and William and Mary. Bob's affair with Frank's wife Fiona is in danger of being discovered by their spouses so they devise a plan to project their own infidelity on a rather boring and dull couple, William and Mary - and so the fun begins !
Building on the success of the Thurrock Community Chorus which now has over 80 members, Fused: the Thurrock Choral Festival brings together and showcases the many different singing groups and musical styles from across Thurrock and offers an opportunity for choirs, groups and individuals to develop their vocal performance and perform together.

The full week’s itinerary includes screenings, workshops and talks, and will close with an awards ceremony where the winning films in each category (Fiction, Documentary, Animation, Music Video, Experimental, Under 16, International, Foreign Language and Student) plus awards for Best Performance, Best Editing, Best Direction, Best in Festival (one of the winners of the categories) and Audience Choice will be announced.
On stage at Grays Beach Riverside Park this year will be: Janet Devlin, the X Factor’s acclaimed vocalist who has been noted for her brilliant vocals; Lloyd Daniels, who was the youngest X Factor contestant act in 2009 — his single Suburbian Girl was released in December 2011; The Risk, a four-piece R&B/Pop boy band, with an amazing range of vocal talent; and Danyl Johnson – X Factor 2009 whose audition rendition of With a Little Help from My Friends was described as "the best first audition I have ever heard” by Simon Cowell.
Thurrock Music Services 'Rock School' group will be opening the event and will also be playing the final piece. The band consists of six students who have been together as a band for about a year and are all aged 13 to 15.
