THERE IS more to Gary Wade than just his poetry but at this moment in time it is what defines and sustains him. For many, Gary sums up a typical life in Thurrock. Just past thirty, trying to find a job, trying to stay away from temptations, anti-social problems with a neighbour and keen to be seen in a positive light.
YourThurrock has been particularly impressed with their recent cover version of David Bowie's 2002 single "Slowburn" which was produced as part of a yet to be released tribute album to Bowie. The band had the privilege of recording in the rarefied atmosphere of Air Studios.

Sharon is no doubt the heroine and that is re-inforced if you ever have the pleasure of meeting Sharon. It is also re-inforced by the fact that justice triumphs in the end. Even at court, after her step-father was found guilty, she waited on the courtroom steps for the jury to come out. Then, Sharon handed each member a "Thank You" card. She would have done the same if he had been acquitted. The card was for listening.

It is a fascinating process. Director Tom Guthrie spends a long time with the "people's" performers, choreographing and nurturing them.
