Derby day victory for the Rocks

In fairness to already relegated Aveley, their first half performance was creditable and they even took the lead, but in the second half it was one-way traffic and Rocks reserve keeper Jamie Riley, who came on to replace the injured Richard Wray just before the break, had absolutely nothing to do.

Dockers go from strength to strength

In the final seconds and for the second game in a row, Tilbury scored deep into injury time and it had some controversy, when a ball was hit forward and picked up by Jack West who ran to the byline and crossed left footed and the ball fell to Emiel Aiken who bundled the ball home with a suspicion of handball. The home side expressed there unhappiness and this lead to Nick Skelton being sent off for over remonstrating with the referee.

Easter Monday football results

They were late but they are still great as the Dockers go into fourth place with a great win against Wakering. Harrison, Higgins, Ruel and Wood put the Rocks into thirteenth in the league.

Bad day for Blues as they let two goal lead slip

The result has seen Grays pick up only two points from six over the Easter break. They drop to fifth and now need to ensure they do not drop anymore points against Brentwood, Waltham Abbey and Enfield in their last three games.

Dockers superb as they bring leaders 25-match unbeaten run to an end

Leiston's Michael Brothers had equalised after Alex Read had put the Dockers up after 27 minutes. Jack West made it 2-1 with ten minutes left and the Read out away his 23rd in the league in stoppage time.

Saturday football results: Thurrock and Aveley relegated

Sad day as Thurrock and Aveley relegated to Ryman premier and Ryman Div One North repsectively. Great day for Tilbury as they thump leaders Leiston 3-1.

In like Flynn as Grays salvage a draw

The first corner for Grays Ath came in the 13th minute. Jake Hall pumped it over and Bradley Thomas' header just flew over. Hall has been a great signing for Grays and relishes the responsibility.

Thurrock win to fight another day

Boreham Wood started the brighter and looked dangerous in the first forty five minutes and on 17 minutes should have taken the lead when David Hutton was put through with the keeper advancing his lop shot was too high and sailed over the bar.

Lack-lustre Rocks stumble as Harrow press case for survival

Rocks themselves are not completely out of the woods in that regard and manager John Coventry will hope his side have enough in the bank as they will struggle to pick up many more points if this is the level of performance they will sustain to the end of the season reports the Thurrock Enquirer.

Athletics: Double first for Harriers in 10K

Alex Houghton, the first runner home in 34mins 11secs told the Harlow Star: “It’s a perfect day for running. "It’s a great event and it’s always nice to help a charity and I hope St Clare is able to raise a lot of money from today. It was a great course and well marshaled– fantastic.”

Docker’s boss: “Still in it and we can win it.”

DOCKERS BOSS, Paul Vaughan must be a very proud man. Ever since August, when the Dockers fleetingly topped the league, nearly every person said: "It will never last." But week in and week out this season, they have proved us wrong with a great team ethic and outstanding displays.

Thurrock on the brink after heavy defeat

A Lee Boylan goal was all that Thurrock had to show for themselves as they were demolished by The Cards. Goals from Alan Inns, Giuseppe Sole (2), Jack King and Kevin Betsy saw the impressive league leaders stretch their lead whilst Thurrock look like they will be relegated on Good Friday.

Six of the best for Grays as they keep winning

With just five games remaining, Blues have hit top form at just the right moment. During January and February 2005 the club had seven successive league wins, so Hakan Hayrettin’s team will be looking to equal that record next Saturday as they host Chatham Town at Rookery Hill.

Saturday football results

Possibly best result of the season as Grays win their sixth win in a row. Terrific win for the Dockers and keeps them right in the play-off shake up.
