Half a million pounds worth of stolen jewellery found in Ockendon shrubbery

DI PAUL Lopez, of the Serious and Organised Crime Unit, said: "The holdall contained items taken from Ernest Jones at Lakeside during an aggravated burglary which happened in the early hours of Saturday, April 12. The jewellery has been returned to the store and the member of the public has been thanked for his public spiritedness. The jewellery that was found is thought to be worth around half a million pounds.”

Police probe arson attacks near to caravans in Aveley

THE first fire was extinguished by 22:45 hrs on Thursday May 15th. The other three 23:09 hrs. Crews then spent time turning over and damping down to ensure the fires were fully out. A Pinzgauer, off road firefighting unit was used to assist crews in reaching the fires due to difficult access.

Palmer’s students team up with Youth Creation for concert

THE Concert took place on the 1 May 2014 at the College with the night being sold out in days. The concert was part of a marked unit and showcased the talent of both Music and Performing Arts students and featured musical performances, solo performances and choreographed various songs from the Musical Matilda. The students were very fortunate to have ex-students Jody Byrne and Shannon Williams come in to choreograph the songs as well as members of the dance group to perform in the concert.
