This game saw a Thurrock team unrecognisable from the previous week in the NE14 Hockey Div 3SE. The home side were dominant through the game and produced some of their best hockey of the season. However it was the away side that took the lead against the run of play with a well worked short-corner. Their lead only lasted for a few minutes as Matt Gaut broke through Wapping’s midfield and defence with the ball falling to Jacob Agoro to level the scores.
Things didn't go quite as planned for the T's in the first half with Phoenix mainly dominating in midfield with short sharp passes and flowing play. However the T's had opportunities of their own and with a defence consisting of Luke Danbrook, Tommy Ing and Andy Sargeant shutting the door on Pheonix attackers things looked promising for the second half.

Firefighters tackled a fire in the centre of a block of nine garages. The officer in charge reported that the fire originated in one garage and spread to the two garages adjacent to it.
