POLICE are warning members of the public to be on the look out for a two foot square black box which contains asbestos that has been stolen from a car.
The box is a Safety Industries Negative Pressure Unit which has been used in the professional removal of asbestos. It was stolen from a vehicle which had been left secure in a car park in Killara Church Road, in Corringham, at sometime between 4pm on Monday October 21 and 6.15am on Tuesday October 22.
ARMED police arrested a man wanted by police in Chafford Hundred. Officers attended at the car park of Bannatynes in Howard Road at just after 11.30am after reports that a man wanted by police was there.

A THURROCK Council has been accused of making indecent photographs of and sexually assaulting a girl under the age of 13. Ian Rayment, of Lower Crescent, Linford, Essex, gave no indication of plea at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court today reports the Barking and Dagenham Post.
THE suspect appeared unsteady on his feet when he entered the Coop Food Store just before 8pm on Thursday September 19. He selected cans of beer from a shelf, dropped the pack, picked it up again then left the shop making no attempt to pay. TWO teenagers are due to appear in court later this month (October) after having been charged with motoring offences. Police were contacted at 11:30pm on Wednesday, July 17 following reports that a car had been stolen from outside a residential property on Thors Oak in Stanford-le-Hope.

THE jury in the trial of two brothers accused murdering of Liam Hlden has retired to consider its verdict. Liam Holden, 35, of Grays, died of a head injury suffered in a car park off London Road in Grays on March 10th.
THE Thurrock Community Safety Partnership has been raising awareness of crime prevention in and around Stanford-le-Hope following an increase in domestic burglaries. THURROCK Council and Essex Police carried out a series of drug and alcohol checks across the borough last week. On Thursday (19 September) police and licensing staff from the council visited several pubs checking what - if any - drugs were present and where in the building they were being used or dealt.
COCAINE with an estimated street value of £2.4m has been seized by Border Force officers at the port of Tilbury after being hidden in a cargo of nuts.
About 46kg of the Class A drug was found in two black holdalls at Tilbury that had been shipped in a container from Panama, officials said.
