A WOMAN who lied to police about a Porsche Boxter being stolen has been sentenced. Katy Littleboy, 34, from Fleetwood Avenue, Westcliff, said she was the victim of a carjacking on the A140 in Stoke Ash, Suffolk, and her £54,000 Porsche had been stolen.
Prosecuting, Mr Clark told the court that once he got home, Clark and Campbell returned to the scene but saw that the ambulance service were there. They returned home and Campbell set about cleaning the car, washing his clothes and disposing of what they perceived of as evidence. The couple then went to a shop in West Thurrock where they took the name of a person whose ad was in the window and set about filling out a DVLA form which would try and show that "Abdul Singh" had taken ownership of the car on the day before the fatal collision.
A MAN WAS TASERED by Essex Police last night (Wednesday) in Grays after he allegedly barricaded himself in a pub.
Police were called at just after 6pm last night to the Grays area after reports from the public that a man was acting erratically near to Grays railway station.
Officers from the Essex Police Commercial Vehicle Unit carried out checks on heavy goods vehicles and vans intercepted on the M25 and A13 while road policing colleagues stopped and checked vehicles using the A126 near Lakeside. During stops on the A126 a total of eight vehicles were seized, five for being uninsured and three because drivers did not have valid licences.
The victim, from East Ham, was taken to Basildon University Hospital was treated and later discharged himself. However police were informed on Sunday, March 4, that he had been taken ill and re-admitted to a London hospital with a serious head injury and is described as critical, but stable.
Officers were called at 9.32am on Saturday March 3 to the B1335 Aveley Bypass near the entrance to Belhus Park leisure centre after reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a van. The pedestrian, a local man aged in his 50s, was taken to Queens Hospital Romford with head injuries. The vehicle involved was a white Iveco box van.
Last Thursday (February 23rd) Basildon Magistrates’ Court heard the takeaway was closed by Environmental Health Officers in January 2011, after it was found to be infested with cockroaches, the floors and equipment were in a filthy condition and there was no food safety system in place.
A STANFORD man accused of brandishing a knife and threatening to stab police officers has made his second appearance at Basildon magistrates court. Adetokunbo Oredein, 18, Pugh Place, Stanford-le-Hope was arrested and charged with possession of an offensive weapon and public order offences in and near the Ramos Cafe on St Johns Way, Corringham on the 7th January.
POLICE in Thurrock are growing increasingly concerned for a 15-year-old girl who was last seen on Thursday, February 23. Laura Johnson is subject to a Care Order and was visiting Grays with a carer.
A POLICE VEHICLE has been involved in a three way road traffic collision in Grays this afternoon (Tuesday).The collision occurred on the London Road in Grays.

Tony Moore, from Tilbury in Essex, was charged with conspiracy to burgle after an appeal on the BBC Crimewatch programme led to information on the theft. The 30-year-old, from Tilbury in Essex, will appear at South West Surrey Magistrates Court on March 6, alongside Jamie Channon, also of Tilbury, who was charged in November last year.
Ex-Army major and Labour MP for Falkirk, Eric Joyce was arrested after allegedly headbutting a fellow MP.
There were also reports that Joyce allegedly attacked Little Thurrock councillor, Ben Maney and Stephen Metcalfe's assistant and Vange councillor, Luke Mackenzie.
Between 2am and 9.10am on Friday, February 17, suspects gained entry through the front door and stole an estimated £2,915 worth of items, a laptop, a black Mulberry satchel, a brown Mulberry purse, a beige Mulberry one shoulder strap bag, sunglasses and a mobile phone. The purse was later recovered.
