The youth flew off into a rage and began to throw a number of items around the house. His father ushered other members of the family away from the scene whilst his mother tried to placate him. He picked up a kettle full of boiling water and threw it. The water scalded the mother. He hit her again and she dropped to the floor.
Owners will be told in writing that they face a £100 fine if the car or van is not insured by a certain date and if the vehicle remains uninsured, regardless of whether a fine has been paid or not, it could then be seized and crushed. However, some motoring agencies say that the measures will do little to combat the problem of those who drive deliberately without insurance, and will instead catch out average motorists.
The fight left two men injured but officers believe other people were injured but have not come forward. Officers would like to hear from any witnesses or victims who have yet to contact police. Police were called to the disturbance at 12.10am.

Ben Davis, 25, Whitmore Gardens, Grays attacked Sarah Taylor and her friend Kerry Martin as they walked home on Blackshots Lane last August. The court heard that after Davis initially assaulted Ms Taylor. She rang 999 and pleaded with the controller: "He'll kill me". She was left with a swollen eye.

The fire took place at just before midnight. Many of the flats were evacuated, leaving families, including a heavily pregnant Natalie Hobbs and her young daughter homeless. Victor Popper, of Broxburn Drive, appeared at the court on Wednesday (5 January), where he pleaded guilty to the charges relating to dishonestly obtaining nearly £12,000 in benefits from Thurrock Council and the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP).

A THIRTEEN-YEAR-OLD boy and a woman have been arrested on suspicion of murder. Police were called to an address in Seally Road, Grays, just off London Road at just before midday Monday after reports that a 42-year-old man had stopped breathing.
The landlord and another staff member were in the car park of the High Road pub with the takings when two men wearing balaclavas, ambushed them. Investigating officer, Dc Carla Hillyer said: “One of the robbers had what was described as a pistol and he pointed it at the landlord and shouted “Where’s the money?” They then grabbed the cash bag and ran off.”
But one betting source told The Independent in August that: "Of course the Grays game was fixed, but the Gambling Commission lack the skill to prosecute. And the police aren't particularly interested in taking the cases on because they often relate to small events and are relatively small amounts of cash. The Daily Mail reported yesterday:" Enforcement sources claim the Grays game was passed over by police because they were too busy with crime and terrorism."
Armed police raced to King Street after there were reports of shots being fired. Essex police confirmed that a 31-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder. He has now been bailed until January 4th.
