Hathaway Road in Grays cordoned off after man found with serious head injuries.

ESSEX Police are investigating after a man was found collapsed in Hathaway Road in Grays. The local man, in his sixties, was found, lying at the side of the road, with head injuries at 0250 hrs this morning (Thursday).

Appeal after cyclist left with “life-changing” injuries after collision

POLICE want to hear from any witnesses to a road traffic collision involving a cyclist and a red Ford Explorer car which took place just before 6.40pm on Monday March 17. Police were notified that the collision had occurred at the Stifford Interchange, on Stifford Clays Road, in Thurrock. It is believed the cyclist was attempting to cross the road when he was in collision with the vehicle.

Grays man sought following series of frauds across country

KEITH Hymas entered the NatWest branch in Ilminster in November 2013 and tried to cash a fraudulent cheque using fake ID. The bank seized both items and contacted police. The 49-year-old man was born in Grays and was last known to be living in the town’s Hogarth Road. He is also wanted on recall to prison for breaching his licence.

Women sought after heartless thieves steal buggy at Lakeside

POLICE are keen to hear from anyone who recognises two women who were caught on CCTV at the time that a pushchair was stolen from the Lakeside Shopping Centre. Two suspects had entered into the Santa’s Grotto area at the shopping centre shortly before 7pm on Tuesday December 10, 2013 and removed a Silver Cross push chair chassis and a Maxi Cosi car seat that was attached to it.

Police suspect foul play after theft of chicken in Grays

POLICE want to identify a man caught on CCTV at the time that £26 of chicken was stolen from the Co-op Store in Lodge Lane, Grays, shortly after 8.15pm on Sunday February 9. A man had entered the store and picked up meat from the displays and hidden it inside his clothing. He then left the store without making any attempt to pay. Six days later on Saturday February 15, shortly after 6.30pm he returned and again tried to hide food in his clothing.

Investigation after fire in garage in Little Thurrock

FIRE CREWS tackled a fire in a car repair workshop in the Enterprise Business Park in Little Thurrock. The incident happened at just before midnight on Tuesday night in Tower Road, Grays.

Woman injured after three car smash near Dartford Crossing

A THREE vehicle collision involving a lorry has left one woman injured after the crash on the M25, near the Dartford Crossing. One lane was closed at J31, by the A1306 Aterial Road at Thurrock services, while recovery work was carried out.

Missing Oxford girl may be in Grays

But she did not return on Friday evening and police are now appealing to the public for information on her whereabouts. The teenager is white and 5ft tall and has shoulder-length dyed red hair. When she was last seen, she was wearing jeans, brown boots and a black leather jacket.
